Canadian Release Party Scheduled at Craigdarroch Castle 12/7/2017

Thursday, December 7th

2:00 p.m.

Craigdarroch Castle, 1050 Joan Crescent Victoria, British Columbia, Canada

If you’ve read my biography you know that I moved to Victoria years ago.  The house I lived in was next door to the Craigdarroch Castle. This beautiful 1913 house was originally part of the land owned by the castle. It holds many dear memories of my life in Victoria, including the many people I met who stayed at my B&B, Antoinette’s. A French movie was filmed at my B&B. I did not play a part as I do not speak French. My old house was purchased by a Baron and eventually sold to the castle.  They are nearly done with their renovations of my old house.  My living room and dining room will be the gift shop. My old garage will be a tea room and my bedroom/library will be where I am reading from my book, No More.

There is an Open House scheduled at my old house for members of the Craigdarroch Castle Historical Museum Society on Wednesday December 6th. My reading will be the next day, December 7th. If you are in Victoria please join me. There is limited seating so the castle is requesting advance reservations. Below is their website.

I will write more about my time in Victoria in another post. Here is a hint, “I remember hopping the retaining wall between my house and the castle to watch the filming of Little Women, staring Winona Ryder. My youngest daughter and I sat silently on the stairs…”
